Crystal & Jay~Everlasting Love

I did Crystal and Jay's engagement photos at my parents farm back in July I believe. We had a good time then, I am so happy they were up to my crazy idea of the bed in the canola field. I absolutely love the colors of the wedding and also the colors nature had to bless us with. Fall weddings are I'm thinking my newest Love! Everything about C & J's wedding was stunning and so incredible! They had such a great mix of modern and country. From the hot rod trucks the bridal party departed in after the ceremony to the combines parked in the field for formal photos and all the history of this 3 generation farm. It was a dream! Every time I do weddings I always say "Geez, I am so lucky to work with all of this!"
The wedding party were so cooperative even though the ladies were freezing! Thank you all for braving the wind for these shots :) Every wedding has something different and personal touches from the bride/groom and crystal's ladies were all wearing different colored shoes. Best idea ever! I wanted each pair to take home :) hehe. I am so glad I am married because if I wasn't and had to plan a wedding I would have to have a few wedding days to incorporate all the fantastic ideas I have seen in the past year!!
In conclusion, Crystal and Jay are fantabulous people, and I feel so overjoyed that I get to work with such amazing couples. I wish you both the best!

Mr & Mrs Vold

Alix and Kurtis got married in Banff and I was literally thinking the entire time I was there was "I am SO Lucky!" I absolutely LOVE travelling around to different towns or cities to photograph weddings or engagements because each shoot looks different and adds something new to each photo shoot I take. I am unable to get comfortable and take pictures in the same location I always have something new to work with and new lighting with each shoot. It was quite cool on Sept 2nd when A&K got married but we managed to get some really amazing shots regardless. They were staying at the Banff Springs Hotel so we were able to adventure around and take pictures all over the hotel. Honestly how much better can it get!!! I have never been in that hotel before so we would wander a ways and I would see something I like, stop take a few snaps shots and wander off a ways further and so on and so forth. It was Great! I also loved that we had no where to be so we took our time and enjoyed every minute of it :)

Alix look so incredible, just breathtaking and Kurtis looked oh so very handsome! I wish all weddings could be so fun and low key! I am so glad I was able to be their photographer I am so thrilled with the results.

Jenny & Milan~One Love~

This was my first chinese wedding and tea ceremony that I either been to, or photographed. It was very interesting and there is such a huge difference from a regular ceremony. Really the biggest difference is that it is not super formal, it is more fun then anything. The bridesmaids get to play tricks and have fun with the groom and groomsmen before the groom gets to see his bride. There were alot of laughs except when Milans groomsmen had to wax a J into Milan's leg. He was not laughing then!
The tea ceremony was held downstairs in the brides parents home and everyone was nice and cozy but it was really warm. Luckily the ceremony was pretty short so no one fainted...LOL By that I really mean "I did not faint YAY". If you were at the rehersal two days before you will know what I mean! HAH
We got the great honour of borrowing a friend's Ford F-100 truck to use for some formal photos. That was very exciting! What a beautiful truck! We had a few locations to go and it seemed as though everyone had a good time despite the heat. I tried to keep them in the shade for most of the time so no one sweat to death.
The reception location was so great! It was decorated so beautifuly. I loved the center pieces and tablecloths. It was really just a wonderful wedding! Jenny and Milan are one of the nicest people you will ever meet and it was so special to be apart of capturing their wedding. You can just tell how much these two love each other and I wish them a long and happy marriage!
